We’re looking for a Part-time Accountant/Bookkeeper and Operational Support for a Tech client in Dublin. This is a part-time, remote, work-from-home position with occasional in-person meetings with the management team. The company is small, with around 10 employees and contractors. Most of the work will need to be done at the end of the month to support invoicing, payroll, and related tasks. Additionally, the hired person should be flexible and open to handling ad hoc operational tasks to support other areas of the business.
The role will primarily focus on finance-related tasks as outlined below.
Manage the day-to-day financial operations of a small technology consulting company. This person can handle tasks such as:
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in preparing and monitoring budgets and financial
forecasts in collaboration with management.
Basic Bookkeeping: Recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Managing vendor payments and client invoicing, ensuring timely collection of payments, and handling disputes.
Payroll Processing: Calculating employee salaries, processing payroll, managing deductions and
contributions, and ensuring compliance with payroll laws.
Expense Management: Monitoring and managing company expenses, processing reimbursements, and ensuring that expenses are within budget.
Banking and Cash Flow Management: Managing bank accounts, preparing cash flow statements, and ensuring there is sufficient liquidity for business operations.
Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management
review. These may include basic profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
Regulatory Filings and Compliance: Handling basic regulatory filings such as VAT/, basic tax returns, and maintaining company records.
Support for Audits: Coordinating with external auditors, preparing necessary documentation, and
facilitating audit processes.
Other Operational Tasks (May not be required)
Marketing / PR Support:
The Operations Manager can also play a support role in managing marketing operations, ensuring that marketing strategies are well-executed and aligned with overall business goals:
PR / Events: Support / Manage the execution of and agreed PR/Event plan with the wider
management team. (Pre Agreed Thought Leadership interviews and pre agreed events as per the PR Plan)
Content and Digital Marketing Management: managing social media channels, publish pre agreed Thought Leadership interviews on linkedin etc.
Lead Generation Management: Support lead generation with a 3 rd Party email Lead Generation
Services Company.
Budget Management: Managing the marketing budget, ensuring that spending aligns with business
Skills and Experience:
At least 8 years working as a Bookkeeper/Accountant or Finance Admin.
